Wow, what a truly amazing litter this was. It featured a World Champion, a Top Ten Borzoi, seven champions and five specialty-award winners. They all have flowing side gait with powerful drive and excellent reach through the shoulder, good tails and tail carriages, soundness, good substance, excellent depth of chest and good spring of rib, well muscled loins, high ear sets, and beautiful crests of necks. These qualities are found throughout the pedigree. Both sire and dam were specialty winners and came from litters with deep quality, with many specialty winning and top-ranked relatives. These fourth-generation Zabava pups are some of our brightest stars. This litter was whelped and raised on Lopez Island by Patricia Wiseman of Ostrov Borzoi. We rotated many of them through Zabava and love every single one of these guys!
THE BOYS

Himself finished with 5 majors and a PSBC WD. He finished his Grand Championship quickly and in style, with BOB wins and several specialty SD awards

Cognac lived the first four years in France. He had several CAC wins in France and Switzerland, including group placements. We are so grateful to Angelika to opening her home and her heart to Cognac and doing some wonderful wining with him. Cognac won a group 2 placement in Poland. Cognac sired a litter for Impuls and Splendor.
THE GIRLS
Owned by Irina Terra & Kristina Terra, Zabava Borzoi, Washington State
Ingrid’s record includes BISS wins from the 2014 BCNC Specialty and 2014 PSBC Specialty. She is a multiple hound group winner and placer. Ingrid was in Top Ten for two years, receiving the #1 Female award from BCOA in 2014. In classes, she finished with all majors on specialty weekends; plus, she was Best in Sweeps at 2010 BCNC Specialty. Ingrid is the mommy of our beautiful N Litter.

BeBe is our biggest star of all. She won Best of Breed at the 2014 World Dog Show in Helsinki over 135 Borzoi and a Group 3 defeating over 800 sighthounds. She finished her Finnish title in four shows, and she is also Estonian, Latvian, and Swedish champion. BeBe produced two beautiful litters for Yegorov Borzoi in Finland.

Lipstick finished her championship and grand championship titles easily. Her most notable win is a SB over huge competition at Borzoi Club of Northern California weekend. She was Best Opposite in Puppy sweeps in Puget Sound.

Calli finished her conformation title at 3 years, with two big major reserve wins along the way in Lompoc, CA. Calli was also High-in-Trial at Lompoc Kennel Club and has both her Rally Novice and her CD obedience titles.

Hopscotch would have made a beautiful show dog but she has the best life of all – lounging around and getting one-on-one time with her owners. She is a therapy dog and has her CGC title.

Gone too soon, Tessa will always stay in our hearts. She was a sweetie but also an absolutely gorgeous girl. She had 9 points, 2 TSE sweeps wins, and a cut in the Open Class at the National under 2 years of age.
