Captain was an enthusiastic showman and a lovely boy.  Captain and his owner Tricia made such a great team and achieve so much.  He was a true joy to own.  Captain was a substantial male with great extension, powerful gait, correct tail, excellent front, soundness, and great attitude.  He had full dentition and scissors bite, dark eyes, and high-set ears.  He was a multiple Best-of-Breed winter, including at Trophy-Supported-Entry shows and a multiple specialty award winner (specialty Best of Winners, Select Dog, Best in Puppy Sweeps and Awards of Merit).  Captain really excelled as a sire of high-quality get.  In his litter of 9 co-bred by Ostrov and Zabava (see C Litter) born May 3, 2009, he produced a World Champion (WW14 World Int Fi Ee Lv Se Ch Zabava Ostrov Catalina “BeBe”), a Top Borzoi (Am GCHS Can Ch Zabava Ostrov Casablanca “Ingrid”), 7 champions out of 9 and 6 specialty-award winners.  We feel he passed down only his absolute best qualities.  Captain also sired a nice litter for Glacier Kennels in Montana, including a Best in Sweepstakes winner at the BCOA National.
