Schmoo made her presence known wherever she appeared. She was demanding, smart, quick, and somewhat mischievous. In many ways, she reminded us of her dam Sanya but also of her great-grandmother Bunya, Brusnichka Nevskaia*. Schmoo was extremely elegant, graceful. The words in the Borzoi standard “feminine and refined” fit her to a tee. She really covered ground with her light-footed strides. Shmoo had fine small ears, coal-black eyes, straight tail and lots of curves. She knew exactly what she wanted out of life: pampering, comfy couches, and lots of playtime with her life-time friend and brother Figgie, Zabava Figaro. As far as all that dog show stuff: well, maybe, she said…but not till she was older…
