Tivoli is the name of an amusement park in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. Indeed, our Tivoli, or “Masha” as she was known at home, was full of energy, and never seized to entertain us. Masha was sweet, funny, smart, agile and fast. As far as her looks, her structure and movement were unparalleled – correct angles, low hocks, strong and well-set neck, muscled loin, and a perfect tail. Her side gait was simply divine. Dark eyes, small ears, full dentition and a scissors bite completed the picture. Unfortunately, we never tried breeding her, as we did not have time for a litter… Masha is our longest-lived Borzoi, we had to let her go just shy of 14 years of age. We will always miss her quiet presence in the house.
Masha’s accomplishments included:
- WB for a major at Seattle Kennel Club in 2010
- WB/BOW at Seattle Kennel Club in 2009
- 1st in Bred By Exhibitor Class, TSE Show under breed specialist Amy Sorbie (Kyrov Borzoi)
- RWB to a 5 point major at the 2009 BCNC Specialty, breed specialist Carol Spritzer (Spitzkoff Borzoi)
